The

Jewish Diaspora Project

"Unveiling Jewish Diaspora: Documenting, Educating, Inspiring."

"Our mission at the Jewish Diaspora Project is to diligently document, educate, and lecture on the rich tapestry of Jewish diaspora and culture, fostering understanding, appreciation, and preservation of our collective heritage across the globe."

Welcome To The Jewish Diaspora Project

Welcome to The Jewish Diaspora Project, a pioneering initiative dedicated to exploring, documenting, and celebrating the diverse tapestry of Jewish communities across the globe. At the heart of our mission lies a profound commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and histories of Jewish populations dispersed throughout the diaspora.

For centuries, Jewish communities have flourished in every corner of the world, cultivating vibrant traditions, languages, and customs that reflect the unique experiences and journeys of their members. From the bustling streets of New York City to the tranquil villages of South America, from the bustling markets of North Africa to the serene landscapes of Eastern Europe, the story of the Jewish diaspora is one of resilience, adaptation, and enduring strength.

The Jewish Diaspora Project seeks to illuminate this multifaceted narrative through a multifaceted approach that encompasses education, documentation, advocacy, and community engagement. Through lectures, workshops, and educational programs, we empower individuals to explore and deepen their understanding of Jewish history, culture, and identity. Through documentary projects, multimedia resources, and interactive platforms, we amplify the voices and experiences of diverse Jewish communities, ensuring that their stories are heard and honored for generations to come.

Moreover, The Jewish Diaspora Project is dedicated to advocacy on behalf of small and marginalized Jewish communities. Through strategic relationship-building with country politicians, ambassadors, and heads of states, we advocate for policies and initiatives that support the needs and interests of these communities. By fostering diplomatic connections and dialogue, we work to ensure that the voices of small Jewish communities are represented and respected on the global stage.

Join us on this transformative journey as we embark on a voyage of discovery, celebration, and solidarity with Jewish communities near and far. Together, let us honor the past, embrace the present, and envision a future where the vibrant tapestry of the Jewish diaspora shines brightly for all to see.

Welcome to The Jewish Diaspora Project – where every story matters, and every voice is heard.

Island Hospitality

When Moshe Klein found himself in North Africa in mid-Adar, the idea of spending Purim in Djerba, whose Jewish community is believed to have been established during the time of Churban Bayis Rishon, was an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

The Last Shtetl

When Moshe Klein first heard of the Mountain Jews, whose presence in Azerbaijan dates back to the time of the First Beis Hamikdash, he knew he would have to visit their hometown of Gyrmyzy Gasaba to learn more about them and their history.

Against The Clock

Just about everywhere globetrotter Moshe Klein went in Kolkata, India, he heard echoes of the vibrant Jewish community that once existed, far-off echoes of Yiddishkeit that will likely never be revived
